Term 3 Final Phoenix Challenge

The final eye-catching worth 150++ points Phoenix Challenge is here!
Yes, its part 1 of the finale, part 2 bring OA IPC, so add them up and you can get the same point as camp.

This Challenge is dedicated to the Sec 4s who will be passing out next week, so hope you guys really think twice and go all out for this final challenge.

------

Batch 57, the first batch who joined the platoon system since sec 1. Platoon memories can never be as nostalgic as theirs, what more the platoon spirit and bonding that each of them had experienced for the past 4 years. From singing epsi epsi songs, to creating the ugly ultraman cobra totem, and the struggle against other large platoons as Iota remains small in strength (in the past), these memories have definitely made an impact in the sec 4's lives. Soon, it will happen to you too, in just a blink of an eye.

Final Challenge:
Get EVERYONE from your platoon, batch 60,59,58,57,56 & 55 (yes..the JC people!) and have a great photo taken of you guys, united as one platoon. Capture that moment for eternity, and send to editorial.rirc@gmail.com by 2 September 2009 2359hrs.

The closer you are in getting the full strength of the platoon, the higher the chance of you getting the top score: 150 ++ (wonder why there is a ++)

This will be a great leaving gift for the sec 4s, so start uniting your people with the sec 4s and byond for the last time!

Good luck!

Parents for POC 09

Hello Sec 1s and 2s!

Please check with your parents (either one or both) if they are able to come on the 4th September (Friday) evening to witness and participate in your enrollment/promotion ceremony and join us for the passing out ceremony and dinner.

Please find out as well the best of the following timing for them to come down to school:
4pm, 4:30pm, 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm

We will ask you guys for your parents' replies during training next Monday. Help to spread the message around, especially among your platoonmates, since your answers will be crucial in helping us plan for most ideal program for everyone. Thanks!

Red Cross Got Talent (RCGT) Voting...

A reminder that the RCGT votes are due tomorrow. All of you are expected to vote for your favourite teams to enable them to pass through to the next round. In case you do not know how to vote, approach your Sec 4 PMs or call them by tomorrow and just tell them who you are voting for.

RCGT was created with the intention of leisure for you all. Some of you think it just delays dismissal time; quit that mindest. It is for your entertainment that such events are made in RC. If you have better suggestions for events which may be held in RC, please do tell the Sec 3s. Your suggestion will be appreciated.

Red Cross File

As you all should know by now, the workload for Red Cross is increasing just like our normal school lessons. As such why don't you all have a Red Cross File???

The Sec 3s will not be holding file check or anything like that, however like what Hadi sir said, it is for your own good. Organisation is very important and learn to practice it in a UG like Red Cross.

You can buy a simple ring file (any colour) and even put in dividers to organize the notes according to the different subjects in RC.

Though this is not compulsary, we hope some of you will take the initiative to make such a file.

Passing Out Ceremony 09

Hi Guys!

Please note that the Passing Out Ceremony will be held on 4 September (Friday) from 2pm-730pm. All please put in effort to shift your personal events to another date so that both you and your parents can come for this auspicious and very important event of the year.

Please check with your parents to see if they can make it for the event. Dinner will be provided, so muslim families and cadets can break fast at that time too!

In case you are wondering, this is the day when the sec 4s will be handing over their positions to the sec 3s, Sec 1s will officially be enrolled into the unit and sec 2s will be promoted (for those who deserves the promotion).

It will also mark the end of another year in RIRC, so this is the time when we celebrate all our past achievements and fond memories right here (yea plus all the pumpings, dancing and draining competitions that we have definitely enjoyed..haha)

So please make yourself free for this event. 4 September. Tuitions, extra classes can be pushed to another day, but this event is only once per year. The only time when we can get together and celebrate :D

Friday, 4 September guys. The last time when you get to see your sec 4s.

Keep that evening free! Thanks a lot!

New Updates!

Hello everyone!

There has been a change in the IT management of RIRC. Do take note of the following:

1. No more rirceditorial.blogspot.com. All fun stuff will be here as well. This includes PWC, RCWA, platoon points and so on

2. You do not have to send anymore fun stuffies to the editorial gmail. Instead, use your own platoon blog to blog about these cool lame whatevers that you have. We will look out for good stuffs and award points as usual.

What we really look out for are personal posts, such as reflections on training, your life, things you loathe or love, and best of all: controversial entries which are substantiated and not insensitive. Example: Is there really a need for Footdrill in Red Cross?
Cool eh? Post them on your blogs, and we are sure to award you the points!

Oh yes, we we definitely applaud Vatsalmort and Frenz! Great job to you guys! This is exactly what we call: having fun and producing some fun work to share with everyone!

3. Continue to check this website regularly, especially the HOT NEWS section.

4. The RIRC Website will still be up to serve as an informative website for any non-rc members, such as your friends and families who are interested to know what RC and RIRC is all about.

Hope this thing helps! Please feedback if you have any cool stuff you wish to say!

Jia yous with your CCTs!!

FA Revision 1

Download the Answers to the FA revision Test that you took on 17 August(Monday) here:

 http://myrhetoricjeer.wordpress.com/sec-1-notes/

Those who did not attend are to download them and keep them in your RC files as well.

FA Test on Monday 17 August

Hi Sec 1s,

Questions and answers for the results will be out by 10pm tonight. All of you who took the test yesterday passed, but the lowest score was 7/13. Hence, we will do more revision practices during training so that we can all get our basics of First Aid right.

Meanwhile, get a file each and bring it for every training. This is to keep all your notes and revision work so that you have materials to study before your accreditations and SFA test.

Note that you will be taking the Standard First Aid Test, Evacuation Bronze, and Footdrill Bronze by the end of this year, so do set goals for yourselves to achieve these accreditations. You will need to pass these 3 in order to get promoted to Lance Corporal by the end of this year.

Jia You!

Airshow

Please be reminded that the PWC Airshow will be held tomorrow (3/8/09). Do bring the necessary things.

Subject Preferences

All sec 2s, please start thinking about which subject you want to specialise in (trained till gold and instructor level). Rank them in order of interest (not proficiency). We will ask for your rankings during training tomorrow (3/8/09). Those who see this message, please pass it on to other members of your platoon, as it is very important.

Training in T3Wk6

Training resumes as per normal from this week, T3Wk6 which means that there will be trainings on both Monday and Wednesday. Platoon members who see this, please help to spread it on to the other platoon members. Tomorrow, there will be photographers visiting our CCA training and all of you are expected to put on your best behaviour.

Everything goes on as per normal tomorrow. Assemble at S.R.Block Foyer at 3.30 pm in your Unit-T and shorts. Please make sure you wear your Unit-T as the photographers might be taking photos of you.
